Hourly rate: common questions
How do I calculate overtime pay?
Overtime is commonly paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate. Multiply your hourly rate by 1.5 for each overtime hour.
Why not assume 4 weeks per month?
A month averages 4.33 weeks. Assuming 4 overstates your hourly rate, so we divide annual pay by 52 weeks.
